My Favorite Animated Movies

Posted: under Professional.

I maybe an adult but I still watch a lot of cartoons and animated movies. Growing up, I would pester my parents to rent videos of Mickey Mouse, Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny. I would sit in front of the TV until my parents would scold me or until my eyes are sore.

I love Disney’s Finding Nemo. It’s a story about a father and son clownfishes. Their bond is somewhat strained because of Marlin’s, the father, over protectiveness to his son, Nemo. Nemo was then captured by divers and his dad went into great lengths like swimming with sharks and riding a whale just to save him. This movie is so touching that it moves me to tears everytime I watch it.

My second love would have to be the classic Disney Princess story of Beauty and the Beast. Belle is a country girl who was held prisoner by a prince turned into a Beast. The castle in which the Beast lives in is full of enchanted objects like talking teacups, candleholders and clocks. It turns out that the Beast was cursed by a fairy and the spell could only be reversed when someone falls in love with him before the last petal of the enchanted rose falls off. Or else, he would be a beast forever.

How about you? What’s your favourite animated movie?

Three Things I Always Do

Posted: under Professional.

I’ve always prided myself as a versatile and spontaneous person but there are some things that just can’t be erased from my daily routine. These are my top 3:

1. I couldn’t start my day without turning on my laptop. Whether checking my emails, browsing websites and updating my blogs and social pages, this is what I often do as soon as I wake up.

2. My mobile phone is attached to my hip wherever I go. I could never leave home without it. It’s like walking around naked. With my cellular phone, I can constantly update my family about my whereabouts and can easily call them when I need help or just to chat. It also contains a lot of helpful reminders like my appointments and the likes.

3. There isn’t a single day that I couldn’t remember that I didn’t listen to music. I always make sure that I spend some time listening to some of my favourite tunes. I usually spend at least an hour listening to hip-hop, R n B, jazz, and techo/house tracks.

These are my top three and I just wouldn’t function even if I haven’t done just one of them. It’s a part of my life and of me.

Oh Heavenly Homemade Ice Cream

Posted: under Professional.

Many people love to eat ice cream. Ice creams are cold, sweet and creamy. They are so delicious that adults and children alike love to eat them in various flavours like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and so much more.

This yummy dessert is best enjoyed on a hot summer day with friends and family. Ice cream can be bought at grocery stores, delis, cafes and anywhere that there is a demand. But wouldn’t it be great to just open your refrigerator and enjoy the treat immediately? Well, you actually can if you stock your freezer with store bought ice cream. Is there a way to enjoy your favourite ice cream without constantly going to the store?

I suggest that you make homemade ice cream. This type of ice cream is much healthier and natural than store bought ones because you control the ingredients that you will put in. In making your own ice cream, you just use a conventional ice cream maker and add in your preferred flavourings and ingredients. If you want to make your treat fruitier, you can add an assortment of your favourite fruits. To reduce the calories of your homemade ice cream, you can lessen the cream or use a lighter one. For added fun and taste, you can add crushed peanuts, cookies, marshmallows for toppings.

Heavenly Homemade ice creams are not just for daily consumption but you can offer them to friends and relatives as well during special gatherings like a birthday party, picnic or barbeque.

What’s Cooking?

Posted: under Professional.

Cooking has been done since fire was invented. Cooking can be done in numerous forms. There is baking, roasting, steaming, grilling, frying and so much more.

Cooking gives out the different delicious tastes of food. Let’s take for example the chicken. We all know raw chicken isn’t good to eat and it can give us diseases too. Raw chicken can be cooked by frying. Fried chicken is yummy. But when we try other cooking techniques with the meat, will it taste the same? Of course not. Roasting or grilling chicken tastes different from fried chicken but equally delicious as well. Tastes vary when different cooking techniques are used because each uses a different assortment of ingredients and cooking equipment.

I enjoy cooking a lot. I have numerous cookbooks that I follow when I want to cook something new. I also tend to experiment a lot and use new ingredients and cooking techniques. I love eating Chinese and Indian dishes. Dumplings and Curry! Yum! Who doesn’t love Italian food? Pastas are heavenly! I am currently learning to master Thai dishes and my Pad Thai are to die for.

If you enjoy eating, you would definitely enjoy cooking too. It is a wonderful feeling to make a delicious meal and eat it too.

Why You Have to Attend Family Vacations

Posted: under Professional.

It’s that time of the year again that your family is busy planning for your family vacation. You can’t seem to comprehend why year after year your family would go through the chaos of a family vacation all over again.

Didn’t your parents remember what happened last year? While you were in Mexico, your kid brother stepped on a sea urchin and your dad had to pee on your brother’s foot? Your brother was hysterical that time… though thankfully not from the pain. Well, now that you think about it. It was pretty funny.

There was that time that you all got stranded in a small airport in Austria while in one of your family vacations. If not for those kind folks that offered you to stay at their house, you would have slept on the floor. Hmm… Sure that was pretty inconvenient but you did gain a friend. In fact your family and that nice Austrian family still communicate until now. Your parents are even thinking about letting them stay at your house for a family vacation too.

How could your parents ever forget that with every family vacation that you all go to, there will always be some problems and inconveniences?

But, now that you think about it, the best times you spent with your parents and siblings are when you are on family vacations. Maybe your parents have been right after all. Well, they always are.
